Impact

When I think of a helping hand, I instantly think of Rancho Brazos and their caring staff. Years ago, I was lost when it came to getting resources and help. I wanted to work, but I could not afford to pay for childcare. I was struggling with jobs because they either had to be opposite of my husband’s schedule or I had to work at a daycare to get a discounted rate for childcare. It was hard to make ends meet. When my children were able to start going to school, I heard of Rancho Brazos. Nervous, yet optimistic, I went to ask them questions on how the after-school program worked. After talking with Sharla, I signed my children up. I paid close attention throughout the entire year, only to learn that Rancho Brazos was filled with more love and compassion for all children that I ever imagined. My children have been going to Rancho since they were in kindergarten. They have treated my children like their own, teaching them life lessons along with skills that are beneficial in everyday life. They take the time to help teach my children, not just watch them. They helped me teach them to read, write, and even cook. Rancho Brazos is a key part of our community that any town should have. They have helped me in a way I could never repay. I was able to go to college and get a better scheduled job all thanks to their kindness and compassion. I have an organization I can trust to take care of my children while I work, allowing me to better provide for my family. My husband and I are forever thankful for everything that Rancho Brazos has done for us, along with the neighborhood.
